Have you heard of furoshiki? It's a traditional Japanese way to use a cloth to wrap gifts and it’s becoming an increasingly popular eco-friendly way to give Christmas Gifts! Why not use some of our free Vintage Christmas Illustrations] to make your own custom fabric? These designs are a great way to make a simple repeat pattern fabric, perfect for turning into home furnishings or fashion accessories. The easiest way to do this is to find the designs you like and upload them to a program such as Canva. Once uploaded you can then arrange them into a perfectly spaced pattern (the snap grid function on Canva is perfect for this) and print them out a sheet at a time onto image transfer paper and apply them to your fabric.
OR to save on wastage you could put as many of the designs on to one page as possible, print them and then cut them out individually so you can place them by hand on your fabric, this is obviously a bit more time consuming but it gives you the chance to be a bit more creative with your pavement and it saves a ton of transfer paper too. Once your fabric is made you can turn it into anything you want!
