This is the perfect time to customize warm garments - so get yourself a bunch of plain sweaters, hoodies, hats and gloves and pick out a bunch of fun wintery graphics to customize them for yourself, your friends or customers. There’s a variety of ways you can use our downloads to decorate a garment. You can do a simple heat transfer, for which all you’ll need is a regular printer, transfer paper and an iron. You could also use your chosen illustration as a template and embroider the design, which you could embellish with beading or sequins to add a little zhuzh to the image.
You’ll need more specialized tools and materials, but you could also try your hand at sublimation. It is now possible to apply this technique to organic fabrics, but it tends to be easier to work with synthetics. Sublimation gives a very neat, high quality finish, so your final garment will look just like a professionally made piece, and will be much more durable.
